Darling Summer Hat

E-mail Print PDF

darling-summer-hat_1If you remember my last post on my crochet projects, I mentioned about making the summer hat I made for Aubrey in its original pattern.  Well, I did make it.  I made it for my niece Shoshana (Cheryl's baby girl).  I was quite surprised at the difference from making it with the right yarn weight / guage compared to the one I used for Aubrey.  And yes, it did turn out pretty nice and fairly easy to make. :)

The yarn I used for it was a fingering weight kind of yarn.  Pink 100% cotton yarn, Size 10; and White 100% cotton yarn, Size 30 (for the lacy trim).  The size 30 yarn is almost like a thread... only a more heavy duty kind of thread.

Here are more pictures of it.  Cheryl will need to send me a picture of Shoshy with the hat :)
