Hello everyone! Wow, it’s been more than a month since my last update! We’ve been well, though extremely busy. I have been working on some projects and putting hours for Hexagon (Jeb’s company), besides that we also have been busy with our own company, Black Tie Solutions. Just recently, I have put up my e-commerce site for handmade pressed flower cards on handmade paper, (made by talented ladies in the Philippines), called PhlowerCards. It still needs a little bit more work yet though, esp with the e-commerce side of it. But if you are interested in ordering any of the cards, feel free to email me directly (or use the Contact Us form) and I can get the cards to you.
There have been “talks” about us moving to Illinois. Well, that is true but it looks like the move is postponed until sometime next year. We were getting a bit
excited of the prospect of moving this year, but it’s alright… another year is
not too bad. Besides, it will give us
another year to get some loans out of the way, fix up the house so it can look
nice when we put it in the market, and my parents-in-law can have us for
another year. They weren’t too anxious
of us (and the grandkids) moving, even if we would be just a 3 hour drive
away! So, they are a little happier
again.
In mid-May, my parents (and hopefully Meryl too – pray she gets a Visa) are planning to visit us here. They would be here because of the annual GCE, and then after their visit with us here, they would proceed to Colorado to visit Cheryl and David as well. We are really looking forward to that, and getting excited – 2 more months!
The kids are growing up so fast. Aubrey is turning one year old in 2 weeks
(April 12th). She is to the
point now where she tries to walk. She
will hold on to stuff to get around, and if you hold her hands, she will walk
with you. However, I think she still
prefers crawling; it gets her from point A to point B way faster! I remember that Jordan didn’t start walking
until he was 14 months old. So, I won’t
be surprised if Aubrey didn’t walk until later as well. I wouldn’t mind her walking already, though.
She also loves playing with Jordan
and doesn’t even mind when Jordan gets a little rough on her. She just giggles and thinks it is fun. It is so sweet to watch.
Jordan is as boy as a boy can ever get. He’s been talking really big and long sentences now. He can say and sing his ABC’s, count 1-10 (even up to 20 sometimes!); he knows some songs like “Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star”, “Itsy-Bitsy (Eency-Weency) Spider”, “Old McDonald”; he also can somewhat say his days of the week (I made up a song for it). I’ve started doing some “crafts” with him. Nothing big or fancy… just pasting, and stamping, and sticking stickers and writing, painting… that sort of fun stuff. He also likes “helping” me with almost everything. He likes to “help” wash dishes, do the laundry, fold clothes and put them away, vacuum, sweep the floor, water the plants, spray the glass tables with glass cleaner and wiping them, he even likes to help me change Aubrey’s diaper. He will “wipe” her and put her new diaper on. I know he just likes to help, but sometimes he is more of being in the way than a help (it can be a little frustrating for me, and for him too, I'm sure). Anywhow... he also has been ‘wanting’ more and more to do things on his own, like getting dressed, putting his underpants on, which is great! He is being such a big boy now.
This coming Sunday, Jeb is taking me and kids to Illinois on
a business trip. He has to work in Elgin,
IL that week (Mon-Thu), and he is taking us with. He wants me to be able to see the area of where
we would be moving eventually. I thought
that would be nice, so I am looking forward to that little family trip… sorta
vacation but on business.
Well, it is getting late and I have been very tired today. I will attempt to get some pictures up very soon! For now, good night and have a great weekend.
