24-hour tummy bug/flu

E-mail Print PDF

My family is stricken with this awful 24-hour tummy bug/flu.  I really hope it is a 24-hour deal.  It's not fun seeing your kid throw up everything he eats and can't put down anything.

I was gone for the weekend (with Aubrey) to a Women's conference in Minnesota.  The theme for this years' conference was "Women in the Potters Hand".  It was nice and we have a good time.  I enjoyed the clay molding activity.  However, I wasn't feeling well Sunday morning.  I had a headache and threw up (more of a tired headache from 2 nights of no sleep).  I missed out on 2 hours of meetings.

That Sunday night on our way home, Aubrey started puking... at first she didn't want to take anything.  I was surprised that she didn't want to eat much.  She lost her appetite for 2 days and puking and just got better today.  She had her appetite back and seems to be doing fine.  But Jordan got the bug.  He's been throwing up all night last night, up to 10 times and once this morning.  He just couldn't keep anything down at all.  And I feel for him whenever he asks me for a drink or something.  I am hoping he'll get better later in the afternoon and he can start holding food down.  I'm going to attempt to give him some grape juice today (I heard it is less-irritating for the tummy).

Well, other than the conference for the weekend and coming home sick, things are well.  Oh, and a happy news (for me at least) is that my sister Cheryl is finally here in the US.  We hope to visit soon or them visit us.  I really, really, REALLY am aching to see her.

Okay, I better get going and take care and nurse my sick family back to health (including myself!).
