Yesterday, we decided to take Jordan to the Little Farmer orchard. It was his advance birthday treat. We were supposed to take him there on his birthday next Sunday (the 28th), but I was looking at the weather forecast and it said that the 28th would be cold and rainy (temps in the 50's). Yesterday, Sunday was perfect. The weather was sunny and breezy with some cloudiness. The temperatures were supposed to be in the upper 60's and 71 as highest, but it turned out that it warmed up even more... up to the 80's. It was such a perfect day that the place was packed! I have never seen so many people, kids and cars in that place ever (being just an orchard). They made their place really neat... one that people would like to go to over and over and bring their family with (just not to buy apples). They have a little "feed and pet" the animals (sheep, goat, ducks, farm animals mostly), and they have a play area for kids with hay mazes, teepees, swings, trikes you can ride around on, hay-rides and of course their famous caramelled apples. It seemed like everyone who had kids decided to take their kids or grandkids to the Little Farmer. One precipating factor is that there wasn't a Green Bay Packer game that day so the guys didn't mind not having to the watch the football game, I guess.
Anyway, Jordan had so much fun! I wasn't sure if Jordan would have fun or not, but he did. He loved going on the swings, the "horsie" swing, going through (and up and down) the hay maze and tunnels, riding the trikes that was around, trying to pick up and roll the pumpkins, looking at the sheep, goat, cattle and just running around and looking at the other kids. We weren't able to go on the hay-ride or get caramelled-apples... the lines were SUPER long! Bummer. 'Guess we'll just have to do it some other time.
By the way, Aubrey?... she slept most of the time. Jeb was watching her while I was playing with Jordan. We all had fun. I'll have pictures uploaded in a little bit.
