I haven't updated in a while (a whole week feels a long time for me). It has been a very busy last few weeks for me. Rob, Kim and Myra came up to visit last weekend, together with a church friend of the family. It was a very fun weekend. And then, I had some deadlines for work that I need to finish. I have a few back log projects yet that I need to do, but it's been a little more relaxed this week. Jeb is also going on a business trip again to Illinois this week.
As far as my Feast preparations are coming... it's coming together nicely, and slowly. I am trying to get all the family requests out of the way so I can make sure I don't forget anything.
It is pretty neat that as soon as September came (right after Memorial day), the temperatures dropped that everyday feels like fall now. Jeb has started to wear his fleece jacket going to work now since it has been cooler outside, he said. I love this weather... Autumn/Fall is definitely my favorite season of the year. This weather feels like Feast weather. I am almost thinking of putting my autumn decoration stuff out now. Maybe I will. I am excited to put up all my fall stuff up and probably getting a few more items for decor.

My kids are doing well. Jordan is into singing quite a bit lately, I often times find him making up his own songs and words. I think it is pretty cool. He got that from his daddy. He still constantly wants to go outside. And he still likes reasoning. It's kinda different that he really didn't go through the "why?" stage that most kids go through. He seemed to skip that phase and went right to reasoning and ansering his own questions. For instance, I ask him to go to bed. Instead of a usual comment from a 2-year old... "why?", he would say to me... "because I might wake up Aubrey when I go to bed" (they share the same room yet), or "It's not dark out yet" or "the sun is still up", etc... As much as it is so neat that he is smart with his reasonings and can think for himself... it is also quite frustrating for me that he keeps coming up with reasons and excuses for me to not do what I am asking him to do. I'm sure the "why?" would be as frustrating too, for every answer you give to a "why" question.
Aubrey surprised me the other day. One Sunday, both Jordan and Aubrey were napping, while Jeb and I tried to nap as well. Later on, I hear both of them giggling and playing... and then I hear the voices getting louder and closer to our bedroom. Next thing I knew both Aubrey and Jordan were in our bedroom. Now, that woulnd't seem odd to you, but the thing is Aubrey was napping in her crib -- and her crib bed was all the way down and the sides all the way up. So meaning, she has managed to climb out of that crib all by herself. She did it again today when I put them both down for their nap/quiet time in their bedroom. Later on, I hear noises from their bedroom and when I checked them, Aubrey was out of her crib again and climbing up and down Jordan's bed (while Jordan was laying nicely on his bed) and playing with him. That little tiny girl can do wonders it seems. I think it might be time to transfer her to a regular bed. I don't know -- I don't have room (i'm not sure if this bed is a "transitional bed", most likely not). I just don't want her to one day hurt herself from climbing out of her crib. It is quite the climb to get out of there.
Another thing that this little girl has been doing is taking her diaper off. As soon as she pees one time in her diaper and it is wet... it is off. Same thing goes for panties (or underwear, for those who can't stand the word "panties" lol). So many times have I caught her running around the house butt naked. It must be time to potty train her now too. She definitely shows signs of interest in potty-training.
My kids are definitely growing up... too fast. :( God has really blessed us with 2 wonderful, adorable, beautiful and smart kids. We look forward to more kids God blesses us with.
